ARTICLE 01

Data controller

Rollo Technologies Inc., publisher of Wedge, determines the purposes and means of certain data processing linked to the site and the app. For any question about your data: contact@wedge.money.

ARTICLE 02

Data we may collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, address, phone, email and country.
  • Verification data: identity document, selfie, source-of-funds evidence and check results.
  • Transaction data: amounts, assets, networks, blockchain identifiers, recipients, operators and statuses.
  • Technical data: device, IP address, logs, session identifiers, app version and security signals.
  • Exchanges with support, complaints and answers to compliance questionnaires.
ARTICLE 03

Why we use this data

  • To provide, confirm and track the transactions requested.
  • To verify identity where necessary and prevent fraud.
  • To meet legal obligations, sanctions and requests from competent authorities.
  • To secure the app, diagnose incidents and improve the service.
  • To answer requests, handle complaints and send communications that are essential to the service.
  • To send commercial communications only where the law allows and with a way to object.
ARTICLE 04

Legal bases

Depending on the context and the jurisdiction, we process data to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, to pursue a legitimate interest in security or fraud prevention, to protect vital interests, or on the basis of your consent where that is required.

ARTICLE 05

Recipients

We may share strictly necessary data with payment providers, mobile money operators, verification providers, security and hosting providers, professional advisers, group companies and competent authorities.

These recipients act as processors or independent controllers depending on their role. We do not sell your personal data.

ARTICLE 06

International transfers

Wedge operates in several countries. Your data may be processed outside your own country. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards, including contractual clauses, security measures and an assessment of the applicable level of protection.

ARTICLE 07

Retention period

We keep data for as long as necessary for the service, security, complaints and accounting or compliance obligations. Transaction and verification data may be kept for several years where the law requires it. It is then deleted or anonymised, unless an obligation or an ongoing dispute applies.

ARTICLE 08

Security

We apply organisational and technical measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the data, including access control, encryption where relevant, logging, backup and incident management. No system, however, offers absolute security.

Wedge will never ask you for your private key or your recovery phrase.

ARTICLE 09

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing carried out beforehand.

Send your request to contact@wedge.money. We may verify your identity before answering. You may also refer the matter to the competent data protection authority.

ARTICLE 10

Minors

Wedge is not intended for people who lack the required legal capacity. We do not knowingly collect a child's data without an appropriate legal basis or authorisation.

ARTICLE 11

Cookies and the marketing site

The site may use technologies strictly necessary for its operation, its security and technical performance measurement. Any future use of non-essential trackers will be notified and, where required, subject to your prior choice.

ARTICLE 12

Updates

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the document indicates its latest revision. A material change will be signalled by an appropriate means.

ARTICLE 13

Scope

This policy covers the Wedge site, app, support and transactions. A third-party provider may process certain data under its own responsibility and provide a separate policy that supplements this notice.

ARTICLE 14

Data you give us directly

We receive the information entered when registering, making a payment, asking for support, filing a complaint or completing a verification. Whether a field is mandatory or optional is indicated at the point of collection.

ARTICLE 15

Data obtained from third parties

We may receive information from a verification provider, a mobile money operator, a blockchain provider, a sanctions database, a payment partner or an authorised public source in order to carry out and secure the service.

ARTICLE 16

Blockchain data

Public blockchains permanently record certain addresses and transactions. That information may remain publicly accessible independently of Wedge. We may analyse it to confirm a transaction, detect a risk or meet a legal obligation.

ARTICLE 17

Automated decisions and checks

Tools may assign a risk level, detect an anomaly or recommend a review. Where a decision produces a significant legal effect and the law requires it, you may request human intervention and put your case.

ARTICLE 18

Fraud prevention

We may cross-check the device, the IP address, sign-in patterns, recipients and transactions in order to identify fraud, impersonation or circumvention. This processing protects users, Wedge and its providers.

ARTICLE 19

Identity verification

Depending on the amount, the risk or the law, we may collect an official document, a photograph, a liveness check, an address, an occupation or financial information. Biometric data, where it exists, is processed only on an appropriate legal basis.

ARTICLE 20

Recipient data

The user must be entitled to provide the recipient's number and details. We use that data to identify the operator, carry out the credit, prevent errors, answer complaints and meet our obligations.

ARTICLE 21

Customer support and records

We keep the content of exchanges with support and the information needed to follow them up. If a call were to be recorded, specific notice would be given before recording, in line with applicable law.

ARTICLE 22

Operational notifications

Confirmations, security alerts, verification requests and contractual information are necessary for the service. They are not marketing communications and may continue for as long as an account or an obligation linked to a transaction exists.

ARTICLE 23

Marketing and preferences

Promotional messages rely on consent or another permitted basis. You may unsubscribe using the mechanism indicated or by writing to contact@wedge.money. Withdrawal does not stop communications that are essential to the service.

ARTICLE 24

Audience measurement

We may measure use of the site and the app to understand performance and fix errors. Where the law requires it, non-essential tools are activated only after your choice and can be turned off.

ARTICLE 25

Processors

We select processors offering suitable safeguards and impose on them obligations of confidentiality, security, purpose limitation and assistance. They may not use the data for their own unauthorised purposes.

ARTICLE 26

Authorities and legal obligations

We may disclose data where a law, a decision, an investigation or a valid request requires it. We check the jurisdiction and scope of the request where permitted, and disclose only the information that is necessary.

ARTICLE 27

Corporate transactions

In the event of financing, merger, acquisition, reorganisation or disposal, certain data may be reviewed or transferred under confidentiality safeguards. Any new, incompatible use would be notified or made subject to a choice where required.

ARTICLE 28

Security incident

We have a process for detecting, assessing and handling incidents. Where the law requires it, we inform the authority and the people concerned, setting out the nature of the risk and the recommended measures.

ARTICLE 29

Exercising rights and remedies

A request must state the right being exercised and allow the requester's identity to be verified. We answer within the statutory period and explain any refusal or limitation. You may challenge our answer before the competent authority or by the routes provided by law.

ARTICLE 30

Representation and local contact

Where the law of a country requires it, Wedge may appoint a representative or a local contact. Their details will be given in the app, in the contractual documents or in a local version of this policy.
